Job Description
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Biology & Chemistry Teacher to join our dynamic faculty team. The ideal candidate will be committed to delivering engaging and effective lessons that inspire students to explore the wonders of science. This role requires a creative approach to teaching, where real-world applications and interactive learning are emphasized.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver comprehensive lesson plans for Biology and Chemistry courses aligned with the curriculum standards.
- Utilize varied teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles and ensure all students achieve academic success.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages curiosity and critical thinking.
- Assess and evaluate student performance through assignments, projects, and exams, providing constructive feedback for improvement.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the science curriculum and participate in departmental meetings.
- Organize and supervise laboratory activities, ensuring a safe and supportive learning environment.
- Engage in continuous professional development to stay current with educational best practices and scientific advancements.
Qualifications
- Must be TSC registered
- Bachelor’s degree in Education Biology, Chemistry, or a related field.
- Teaching certification or relevant teaching experience in secondary education.
- Strong knowledge of Biology and Chemistry principles and the ability to convey complex concepts in an accessible manner.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Passion for education and a genuine interest in inspiring students.
- Experience with integrating technology into the classroom is an advantage.
