Naked Pizza

Have you ever wondered why the pizza is referred to as naked? Join me to discover the origin of the word naked pizza. The name naked pizza was discovered by Riteshi Doshi a young and clever person.  At the age of twenty seven to thirty two, he had worked in different countries like London and Nairobi as an investment banker, entrepreneur and a consultant. It all started when he was in a boardroom reading an African magazine and saw how business was growing in Africa so he asked himself why not be a part of it. Through the grace of God, one of his schoolmates was able to connect him with the owners of Nakeel pizza in U.S.A where he had worked shortly, before telling the friend it was important to start their own business. They agreed in December  2012 and the shop was opened.

The most shocking thing was that their project used almost Shs6.5million.They had built their shop in a most unique way; they built one side of the wall with glass so that passers-by could see how they create their pizza. They came up with the name naked because it’s cool, unique and most people would be attracted and curious how the product is made and how it looks like. Most shocking thing is that Mr.Ritesh has never tasted chicken despite working and living in a Kenyan community where chicken is a staple food. Honestly speaking he`s one of my role models because it`s very amusing  how can an investment banker who travelled widely quit a lucrative career to start a pizza shop? Really shocking isn`t it?
